Telstra NextG™ and 3G customers can browse Whereis® Mobile free of charge via BigPond Mobile. You'll know if this applies to you by looking for the 'unmetered' messages displayed at the top of screen. Browsing charges apply when you access 3rd party websites or type a URL address into your browser.
Location Issues
Using your current location
You may have the option to use your current location when performing a search. Whereis® Mobile cannot identify you. Where the option exists Whereis® Mobile will require your permission to locate you.
Location accuracy and how we locate youTelstra uses mobile transmission towers to anonymously approximate your location. Areas of high population density, like capital cities and major towns, generally have more towers increasing the accuracy of your approximate location. As fewer towers become available your approximate location will become less accurate, and could be as far as 50km from your actual location.
